The Warrior Storyfield Sanctuary
A Permanent Home for Healing, Connection, and Transformation
For more than a decade, veterans, first responders, artists, and community members have come together to create something extraordinary.
What began with the simple question “What does it take to come home from war?” has grown into a thriving community and two monumental sculptures, the Dragon and Phoenix, created through more than 125,000 hours of collective effort.
Now, that work has found its permanent home: the Warrior Storyfield Sanctuary, a 38-acre refuge in Longmont, Colorado dedicated to connection, creativity, and belonging.
Why It Matters
Veterans and first responders often face isolation, loss of purpose, and challenges reconnecting after service. At the same time, many civilians are searching for deeper community and meaningful connection.
The Warrior Storyfield brings people together as equals through shared creativity, storytelling, and participation – creating a place where purpose, belonging, and healing can naturally emerge.
What the Sanctuary Provides:
- A permanent home for the Dragon and Phoenix sculptures
- The Space In Between, a gathering place for reflection and dialogue
- Creative studios and workshop spaces
- Nature-based experiences and community events
- Programs for veterans, first responders, and civilians
- A lasting resource for future generations
A decade of community-built work. A permanent home. A chance to help it endure.
