Remembrance

Denny Sedlack wanted to share this poem:

Remembrance

I awoke this morning

The sadness is upon me

As bleak as the darkest wet cold gray day of winter

The overwhelming sense of emptiness builds

The acrid taste of salivation stings my mouth

And the morrow is sucked out of my bones

Heart and soul melts

It is remembrance day

For all those violently killed

In the name of what

WAR,

The death of innocence
